 | | | | |
The Green Highlander is one of the classic fly patterns that is still going strong
in all parts of the "salar-world" (Atlantic salmon). In Norway it is
considered to be a "midsummer-fly" that
is
best fished in June. The fly is especially good in fine weather and sunshine.
It comes in many sizes on both single-and double hooks. it is always worth trying
a green highlander.
Standard
Fly Pattern
This pattern is standard in 90% of all fly boxes in Norway,
Scotland and Ireland. The Green Highlander should also be standard in fly boxes
of those planning to fly fish for Atlantic salmon in the Patagonia region of Argentina
and Chile.
